ase new-game

Create a game: its registry entry in your studio and its files from the template. With an idea, a coding agent then builds it. In a terminal it asks what flags leave open; run by an agent or in CI it asks nothing.

Requires: a sign-in (ase login) with the studio permission manage_games (Owner and Admin). git, and no ./<id> folder yet. With --github, ASE Brain's GitHub App installed on the --repo organization (ase studio github). With --local, only a sign-in: it makes no registry entry.

Potentially destructive. Adds the game to your studio in dev, publishes its starting config and writes the template into ./<id> with one local git commit. With --github it creates a private repo on GitHub and pushes that commit. With --local it only writes the template into that folder, overwriting files of the same name. ase games delete removes a dev game, though its id stays taken; a GitHub repo is deleted on GitHub.

ase new-game [OPTIONS] <NAME>
Argument Description
<NAME> The game's name, e.g. "Neon Drift".
--id <ID> Its id; the name in lowercase with dashes by default.
--engine <ENGINE> Engine package registered with ASE; the default engine when omitted.
--multiplayer <MULTIPLAYER>... Multiplayer features, comma-separated: ranked, casual, private, lobbies, leaderboards; none by default.
--online Dedicated-server lobbies: the same as --multiplayer lobbies.
--platforms <PLATFORMS>... Platforms, comma-separated; desktop by default.
--idea <IDEA> The game idea a coding agent builds, e.g. "3D tic-tac-toe with multiplayer on mobile".
--agent <AGENT> Who builds it, opened in the game's folder with a brief: claude-desktop, codex-desktop, claude or codex. Without it, a terminal run asks, and an agent's run prints the brief for that agent to follow.
--local <LOCAL> Only write its files into this folder, without the registry: to try the template.
--repo <REPO> The game's repository path on its Git host (my-org/neon, group/sub/neon); its release CI is trusted for it.
--github Create --repo on GitHub through ASE Brain's GitHub App, installed in your organization (ase studio github).
--addon-from <ADDON_FROM> With --local: a local SDK payload instead of the selected package payload.
