CLI reference

ase studio

Your studio on ASE Brain: who may release its games, release keys, secrets.

ase studio trust

Trust your CI's OIDC tokens for releases: github (Actions) or gitlab (CI pipelines), on --branch of each game's own repo.

Requires: a sign-in (ase login) with the studio permission manage_games (Owner and Admin).

Changes: Adds a trust: from then on CI runs on --branch of each game's own repo can release that game. It replaces no trust, and the studio console removes one.

ase studio trust [OPTIONS] --preset <PRESET>
Argument Description
--preset <PRESET> Required. One of github, gitlab.
--branch <BRANCH> The branch whose CI runs may release. Default main.
--issuer <ISSUER> A self-hosted GitLab's URL, with --preset gitlab.

Examples

ase studio trust --preset github
ase studio trust --preset gitlab --issuer https://gitlab.example.com

ase studio key

A release key for CI that can't mint OIDC tokens, printed once.

Requires: a sign-in (ase login) with the studio permission manage_games (Owner and Admin).

Changes: Creates a release key and prints it once; ASE Brain keeps only its hash. Whoever holds it can release any of the studio's games until it is revoked in the studio console.

ase studio key [OPTIONS] <LABEL>
Argument Description
<LABEL> A name for the key, to tell it apart later.

Examples

ase studio key ci

ase studio secret

Set a secret, typed or pasted at the prompt (masked) or piped in: a store key (APPSTORE_UPLOAD_KEY, ...), a push key (PUSH_APNS_KEY, ...), a sign-in or purchase key (STEAM_WEB_API_KEY, ...) or a Fleet provider key (FLEET_LINODE_TOKEN, ...).

Requires: a sign-in (ase login) with the studio permission for what it names: manage_games for store, push, sign-in and purchase keys (Owner and Admin), manage_hosting for Fleet provider keys (Owner and Admin), buy_domains for domain keys (Owner and Admin).

Potentially destructive. Replaces the secret's value, studio-wide or with --game for one game, whose own value then wins for its releases, push and player sign-in. The old value is destroyed, and nobody can read a value back. It can't be undone: set the old value again if you still have it.

ase studio secret [OPTIONS] <NAME>
Argument Description
<NAME> The secret's name.
--game <GAME> For one game instead of the whole studio.

Examples

ase studio secret STEAM_WEB_API_KEY
ase studio secret APPSTORE_UPLOAD_KEY --game neon-drift < AuthKey.p8
ase studio secret PUSH_FCM_SERVICE_ACCOUNT < firebase-service-account.json

ase studio github

Where to install ASE Brain's GitHub App on your organization: the studio console, where GitHub confirms you manage it.

Requires: a sign-in (ase login), in any studio role. Installing the App from the console then takes the studio permission manage_games, and GitHub's confirmation that you manage the organization.

Changes: nothing; it only reads.

ase studio github [OPTIONS]

Examples

ase studio github

ase studio whoami

Your studio, role and permissions as the studio console has them now.

Requires: a sign-in (ase login), in any studio role.

Changes: nothing; it only reads.
